Atlanta's Airport Utilizing MM Systems' Products
August 2010
On schedule for a 2012 completion, Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport's $6-billion capital program includes new expansion joints from MM Systems that can accommodate heavy luggage tugs while remaining watertight and pedestrian friendly. Engineered solutions included the Seismic Slide Plate (SSP Series) and the Self-Healing Dual Seal (SHD Series) expansion joint systems that were integrated with the structural slab waterproofing membrane.
Construct 2010 Conference
MM Systems was a co-sponsor of the Philadelphia Chapter CSI Host Event at the Fairmount Water Works which served as the first municipal water works in the country. Today it is an interpretive museum that features exhibits about watersheds, local aquatic life, and the workings of the original water works. Jim Harduk, an officer of the Philadelphia Chapter, commented that MM Systems co-sponsorship of the CSI host city event at the Construct 2010 Conference allowed their Chapter to provide a "local experience" to the architects and specifiers from across the country.
Congratulations
to the graduates of our Spring 2010 Certified Contractor Training School!
Atlanta was the destination for 88 individuals from across the United States, Canada, Ireland, Egypt, Dubai, and Argentina who completed the MM Systems Certification Program for Exterior Waterproof, Seismic and Fire Rated Expansion Joints.
